Definitions.—As used in in the DIY gun culture, except where the context otherwise requires:

(1) “Lock Stock & Barrel Kit (LSB Kit)” means every part and component (including mag) is conveniently packaged for the DIY gun hobbyist to build a complete gun. indieGuns’ “LSB Kit” is synonymous with P80’s “BBS Kit” (Buy Build Shoot Kit) and “Full Build Kit”…they all mean the same.

(2) “Complete Slide Assembly (CSA)” means a fully assembled slide ready for use out of the box with Slide Parts Kit (SPK), sights, and barrel  installed.

(3) “Frame Kit” means an 80% Frame, Rear Rail, Front Rail, 2 Pins that secure rails to frame, Drill Bits, and Jig to hold frame in place, guide bits, and drill holes in proper location for pins. Per ATF Final Rule 2021R-05F, this is a firearm.

(4) “Frame” means an 80% Frame, Rear Rail, Front Rail, and 2 Pins that secure rails to frame. Does not include Jig or Drill Bits. Per ATF Final Rule 2021R-05F, this is not a firearm.

(5) “Frame Parts Kit (FPK)” means all necessary parts and components necessary to complete a working, operational, and functional Frame. These are the small internal working parts of the frame, e.g., trigger, mag release, ejector, slide lock, etc… FPK does not include frame or mag.

(6) “Slide Parts Kit (SPK)” means all necessary parts and components necessary to complete a working, operational, and functional CSA.  These are the small internal working parts of the slide, e.g., firing pin, extractor, safety, cover plate, etc…SPK does not include slide, sights, or barrel.
